CCS is working with the Thomas Jefferson Health District (TJHD) on our plan if we should have staff, students, parents or community members who test positive for COVID-19. TJHD will conduct all contact tracing and work with me to help disseminate information as allowable under HIPAA rules. Below is a link to Charlottesville Catholic School’s Mitigation Health Plan which has been reviewed by the TJHD. This plan comes from Virginia Council for Private Education (VCPE) and the Diocese of Richmond (DoR). The plan is not designed to answer all the questions surrounding reopening CCS during the pandemic, but rather is a guideline for the steps we are taking to open as safely and as reasonably possible at this time. If there is a need to quarantine, TJHD will be responsible for providing that information. Our ability to limit the interaction of students with one another, utilize seating charts, and practice physical distancing throughout the school day will help limit the number of students who may need to be quarantined. We will also be relying heavily on parents to share information with Mrs. Weber about potential contact, exposure or positive tests with individual household members in order to prevent potential closures.
